Relinquished to Sonoma County Animal Care and Control in December, 2007, Argus is
considered to be CHANGE's "darkest case" of animal abuse
and neglect. Owned by a hoarder for all of his life, this Thoroughbred
gelding spent 15 years--from weaning to age 15--locked in a 12-by-6
mare motel pen. He was kept alive on stale bread and rotting produce
and the occasional flake of hay. He was never let out. Before After
