Crystal
Crystal
is a 15-year-old gray Arabian mare who was taken into the program after
being seized by the Sonoma County Animal Control Department.
She was underweight and in need of some serious TLC. Crystal is a gentle,
sweet mare who loves being groomed and enjoys spending time with both
people and horses. Crystal had melanomas under her tail. She is
an easy keeper and
gets along well with other horses.
UPDATES:
Everyone seems to melt for the glamorous and sweet Crystal, whose expressive
dark eyes are set off by her sparkling gray coat. She is thrived in
foster care. Crystal ties, bathes, loads and
trailers well. She was in foster care at a Sonoma County training
stable and was schooled under saddle by a trainer.
Crystal gets along well with other horses, and is happy both in the pasture
and the barn. She is now matched with a confident and patient
handler who likes sensitive horses. This is a wonderful horse who was
eager to start the rest of her life with a forever home.
Saskia wasn't even looking for a horse after losing both her long-time
equines to old age last year. "I knew I'd get another horse someday," says
Saskia, but after meeting Crystal quite by chance, "I knew she was
The One."
