Cassie

Cassie is a small (14.2-ish) very cute mare (possibly Arab/Morgan). She came to us during the Santa Rosa fires last year. Our vet estimates her age at around 23-24, but she does not look or act like an older horse. Cassie is very smart and responsive, people oriented and very light on her feet.

She has a clean bill of health . Cassie has been ridden in foster care (see video) and is very responsive to the leg and rein.  She will make an excellent riding horse- she is sound, able bodied and eager to go!  A great riding and trail horse in addition to being someone's best friend.  While she can act like a mare with people she doesn't know at first, it doesn't take her long to warm up to visitors.  She definitely shows that she wants someone to work with her and make her theirs- she will make someone a lovely riding horse and companion!

UPDATE: August 8, 2018: Cassie is enjoying fancy barn life!  She was moved from her awesome foster barn to a location where she can be shown to potential adopters and exercised in an arena.  She has taken to the "fancy" barn life just fine- here she is in her stall (where she spends time when she is not out in pasture!)

Check out these videos taken of Cassie under saddle- she is sound and moving great!:
