Chestnut and White Paint Mare
Poppy is just the sweetest horse ever, and so easy and fun to have around. She nickers constantly, preferring the company of humans to horses. When she had recent dental work, she nickered to the vet while under sedation! She's happy inside or out, alone or with a friend, and is not mareish or herd bound. She loves to learn, and is so eager to please. Very level headed sweetheart who will make a wonderful family member and fun horse to bring along. We could see Poppy doing trails, lower level dressage, and more. Low mileage former broodmare ready to find her new home.
UPDATE: November 26, 2018- Poppy is progressing in her training. She can now stand tied quietly. She is learning to stand quietly for the farrier. She leads nicely and is getting exposed to dogs, many people, farm equipment and other noisy objects that can be scary for horses. She will be a good horse for light riding in the arena and out on the trail. She does very well on the trail when she can be with friends. She is ridden out on the trail 2 - 3 days/week, mostly by herself to give her confidence in not needing friends on the trail. She is ridden in the arena 2 -3 days/week to help her become straight and more balanced. She is now calm before feeding time. She loves to be groomed and get lots of attention. She loves cookies/treats, but has learned not to beg. Stay tuned for more updates, or follow her progress on Facebook! Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
