Chestnut and White Paint Mare
Poppy is just the sweetest horse ever, and so easy and fun to have around. She nickers constantly, preferring the company of humans to horses. When she had recent dental work, she nickered to the vet while under sedation! She's happy inside or out, alone or with a friend, and is not mareish or herd bound. She loves to learn, and is so eager to please. Very level headed sweetheart who will make a wonderful family member and fun horse to bring along. We could see Poppy doing trails, lower level dressage, and more. Low mileage former broodmare ready to find her new home.
UPDATE: September 26, 2018- Poppy has now been under saddle for 30 days. She can walk/trot/lope in the arena with a rider and has gone out on trails alone and in a group. Poppy has a good foundation and should make a nice lower level trail horse with time and continued training. She is very green, and as such need to go to a rider who is currently in riding shape and physically able to handle the occasional green horse antics, including intermediate + riding/training skills and trainer support to help with any bumps in the road. Poppy has shown herself to be level-headed and eager to please. She likes to work and learn. She enjoys the arena and riding out in groups. Poppy is learning to go out by herself, but she can act barn sour when asked to do so. We think that the best fit for Poppy will be someone who wants to enjoy her for light to moderate use in the arena and on trails. Stay tuned for more updates, or follow her progress on Facebook!
